Aveleda and Herdade do Rocim join the Humanwinety project

11/01/2023

Humanwinety, a company that, for about four months, has been promoting the integration of individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities, and other minorities, in the wine and hotel sectors, has just added two important Portuguese producers to its list of partners. At stake are Herdade do Rocim, a property located between Vidigueira and Cuba, in Baixo Alentejo, and Aveleda, in the north of the country, specifically in the city of Penafiel. But, the innovations of the project headed by winemaker Bento Amaral and wine consultant Cláudio Martins do not stop here. With a humanitarian nature sealed in its genetic code, Humanwinety is in charge of organizing an auction and solidarity dinner, to be held at the end of January 2023, in Lisbon, the proceeds of which will revert, in part, to Cáritas.

Empowering individuals who, for some reason and/or moment in their lives, have become more vulnerable, experiencing difficulties in their training or at a key time of employability, is the main mission of Humanwinety, which, on a daily basis, fights for inclusive recruitment in the labor market and so that employers and candidates are aware of the many benefits that come with these hires.

“With days to celebrate the International Day of People with Disabilities (December 3rd), it is with great satisfaction that we see the Humanwinety project grow with the entry of two such important partners in the wine sector in Portugal. We feel that our work, in fact, is fundamental for the issue of the inclusion of PCD in society and in the labor market to be raised. There is undoubtedly a lack of knowledge on the part of Employers and the State of the human potential of PWD”, says Bento Amaral, Wine Inspiring Executive at Humanwinety.

For Martim Guedes, CO-CEO of Aveleda, “Aveleda is proud to become a partner of Humanwinety, an initiative that opens doors to the wine sector, which wants to be diverse not only in the products it offers, but also in the people who work in it” . “It is in our DNA to support social causes, especially those linked to the communities where we operate, in this case wine and, therefore, we welcome the arrival of Humanwinety, with the satisfaction of being able to make our contribution to this cause”, he concludes.

The same opinion is shared by Pedro Ribeiro, oenologist and administrator of Herdade do Rocim: “In recent years, we have focused on the sustainability of our project and the welcome and well-being of the people who work with us is one of our most important premises for action. strategic because we understand that satisfied teams help companies to prosper. We understood, therefore, from the outset, that Humanwinety’s challenge could also be our challenge and that we would only gain from reinforcing our human strategy with the inclusion of professionals with special characteristics, who will certainly bring us value. added”.

Candidates are given, among others, technical and financial support, socio-professional integration and opportunities for career progression, but the privileges also extend to entities that intend to hire workers with disabilities. Here, Humanwinety partners have the perfect opportunity to participate in a noble and inclusive cause, which prepares and trains people to enter the job market and gives them privileged access to them, thus being able to select the trainees who aspire to their structures. At the same time, they also have the facility to promote their companies and products, in all Humanwinety events and communications, including the participation of a speaker in the talk that will soon be launched throughout the country.

Through aid provided by the Institute of Employment and Professional Training (IEFP), for example, partners also have technical support at their fingertips, financial contribution in the amount of 1.25 IAS (Social Support Index), for each beneficiary covered, and financial contribution, namely in expenses with the construction, installation and equipment of CEPs and with their maintenance and conservation.
